They are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate a true understanding and ability in developing long term working relationships to help meet the client?s future personal and business objectives.

 

They require a skilled Payroll Administrator / Manager to ensure that the businesses processes concerning Payroll function continue to run smoothly and excellent client relations are maintained.

The post holder will be responsible for processing the Payroll for a portfolio of clients both efficiently and accurately to ensure that all deadlines are met. The successful candidate will have already worked in payroll and have good working knowledge of the processes, legislation and duties involved. Good customer service, time management and communication skills are essential for this role.

About the job

Management of the firm?s payroll client portfolio to include:

  • Processing of monthly / weekly payrolls, advising clients of salaries & HMRC payments and providing payslips;
  • Processing of all new PAYE schemes, starter and leaver forms and providing advice re statutory pay;
  • Day to day administration of all payroll affairs ? updating codings, dealing with routine correspondence with HMRC and clients;
  • Preparation and submission of annual P11D forms
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Payroll systems are updated in preparation for RTI
  • Communicating with clients in writing and by telephone and dealing with PAYE or HR related queries
  • Being pro-active in considering ways of expanding the Payroll Department

  • The right person

    Preferably AAT / IPP qualified but qualified by experience will be considered

  • Experience of payroll essential
  • Must have strong payroll legislation knowledge including RTI.
  • Ideally educated to A level (or equivalent), with a minimum of six GCSEs at grade A-C, which must include English Language and Maths
  • Computer literate, with experience of Payroll systems (i.e. Sage, IRIS, QTac etc.), Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of IRIS preferable
  • Applicants should be efficient, methodical and organised and have a polite and friendly manner.
  • Reliable, professional and able to use initiative
  • A keen attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • Ideally will have experience of promoting and offering payroll services to clients and will have the drive and determination to grow the payroll department through offering payroll service to clients
  • Full, clean driving licence
